I am by no means an expert on the current political situation occurring in Kiev, Ukraine but when most of the world media is more concerned with this dick being arrested, I wanted to do my small part to raise awareness.
When millions of people are protesting in the streets, you have to be doing something wrong.
“People shouldn’t be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.”
― Alan Moore, V for Vendetta
The demonstrations started when the Ukrainian President decided to pull out of an agreement between the Ukraine and EU that would have seen the Ukraine become a more democratic country.
The peaceful protest started in November 2013 but with no end in sight tensions began to rise. The police were using harsher tactics and the people responded in kind.
On the 20th January 2014 thousand of protesters received a text message on their phones stating that a law had been passed banning the right of public demonstrations. A 15 year prison sentence is possible for anyone convicted.

As expected trying to stop protestors of freedom and human rights by taking away their freedom and human rights didn’t really work. On the 22nd January police stormed the protesters resulting in 5 dead and thousands wounded. The pictures below speak for themselves.
