The End of an Era

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while but as I’ve mentioned before real life can get pretty busy sometimes. This past week I have been working overtime in order to have my Masters dissertation ready to hand in today. By the time this post goes live, I should be at my London University with a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, figuratively and literally, that thing printed out is really heavy to carry around.

The End of an Era

I have been studying part time, whilst also working full time, for the last 6 years and while it has allowed me to gain an amazing education with no student debt. There is no doubt that it has cut into my personal time and my ability to travel. Although students do have a lot of time off during the summer, so does everyone else and therefore travelling during this time isn’t the cheapest.

So with my formal education finally coming to an end, it is certainly the end of an era. But it is also the start of another. I will now have much more time to dedicate to this site and with my very 1st blogging anniversary coming up I will have a special announcement to make soon. I am also enjoying learning more and more about web design and I have even started designing WordPress sites for friends.

Then there are my plans to actually travel. At the moment I am just trying to save as much money as possible towards my trip but so far I have no definitive plans or destinations in place. All I know is my brother will be getting married in July next year and I plan to leave soon after that. So in the mean time I will be writing more about my plans (when I make any), how my saving is going and I will continue to feature amazing travel destinations and other inspiring travel bloggers.

So have you ever felt the end of an era in your own life, but knew there was also something greater just waiting around the corner? I would love to hear about it in the comments below.
