A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins With a Single Step

Inspirational Travel Quote

I love this quote by Lao Tzu. So much so that I am using it as the sub-heading to this very blog. You can see it up there just below the main title. It perfectly sums up just about every journey and achievement man has ever made. We all have to start somewhere, whether it’s from playing football in the streets to winning the Premier League or from gaining your Science GCSE and then becoming a particle physicist. Everything we do in this life is the first step onto a new beginning.

And for me this blog here is my first step on my journey of a thousand miles to my dream of travelling the world. By starting up this blog I hope to continue walking down the path that will eventually lead me away from this dull 9-5 existence and onto something better. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with working hard, going out with friends on the weekend and then doing it again the next week. I’ve been doing it all my adult life. But with a lot of my friends now getting married or having children, I have just been thinking that there must be more to life and I intend to find it.

Let me know in the comments below some of your favourite inspiring quotes. I love a good quote, who doesn’t.

If you enjoyed this post, please share it with your friends. It only takes a second and it will mean a lot to me.

Hey J from Travel on Inspiration,

this is my absolute favourite travel quote (from Mark Twain):
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Is your travel blog quite new? So is mine. It’s looking good! I just linked you on my blog. Keep it going!

And here is my Favorite Quote:

“For every quote out there, there is an equal and opposite quote somewhere else; completely opposite and equally legitimate!”
    LOL 😀

Hope you have a fun-filled and travel-filled year ahead!

Hi Nina, I’m J. Not sure where you got Freddie from LOL.

Thanks for checking out my blog, your right about the quote thing but I believe people take from quotes what they really what to hear.

I hope you find some friends who hate Steve Jobs as much as you do soon lol. (I’m not an apple fan either)
